Counseling at Full Life
Full Life counsels those who are experiencing distress, need support or have a desire to grow.
Now is the time to begin. It’s the time to find that new context and new opportunity to walk towards your own healing, to start making changes, finding acceptance, and becoming more self-aware and resilient.
As you grow in personal insight, you’ll have better clarity, confidence and direction. Maybe that means getting more comfortable accepting things you cannot change or finding the courage to start making important changes.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here…Max Erhmann, "Desiderata"

What can Mental Health Counseling do for you?

Have you ever felt like you weren’t being heard? That others don’t really understand what you are going through? Or perhaps they do listen, only to give you unsolicited advice in an attempt to be helpful. As a person who has created change in my own life through the benefit of counseling, I know how important it is for someone to truly listen and help you discover choices that work best for you and your loved ones.
James H. Tunstall, CSAC, DBTC
I feel passionate about helping you create the life you want. As a person in long-term recovery from addiction, my focus is helping you identify and resolve the blocks that may stand between you and your goals. I understand the challenges you face when coming to terms with your addiction and I am dedicated to helping people like you find a better way to live.
Leigh Zick Dongre, PhD, LPC, LCAS-A
The path to living more fully is an adventure, one I believe has transformed my own life. Each day I am honored and privileged to join people along a path of recovery, self-exploration, and healing. I have helped people break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life. My role as your counselor is to be a knowledgeable, genuine, and empathetic guide along this journey and provide a safe and supportive environment to do so. I strive to help people live their best lives, by reaching more authenticity and self-awareness, and making behavioral changes.
Marlena L. Del Hierro, MDiv, MA, LPC-A, LCAS-A
Have you read self-help books in an effort to change things in your life? Or maybe you’ve sought the counsel of people close to you but still struggle with finding a solution. Perhaps you haven’t consulted anyone or anything because you feel embarrassed or think you should be able to do it by yourself? If this sounds familiar, I invite you to work with me. I am a relational counselor and am open, warm, nonjudgmental, and guarantee laughter in sessions.
Regina Abdou, MA, LPC, LCAS, CSAPC
I am a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in NC and NY states with over 30 years of experience. I currently have a private practice in Winston-Salem, NC and offer General, Addictions Counseling and Somatic Experiencing Trauma work with adults through Full Life.
Reneé Colclough Hinson, PhD, Practicing Psychologist
Do you cope with stress with excesses that create additional problems – perfectionism, overworking, overeating, or using substances? I work with clients on women’s issues, particularly weight gain and poor body image, by addressing the underlying codependency, anxiety, depression, or trauma that often lead to them. In my 25 years as a clinical psychologist, I have provided psychotherapy, psychological assessment and taught university/medical students. I would be honored to use all my experiences to walk you through the self-exploration and new skill building necessary to get you to (or back to) your best self!
The journey begins with you taking the first step, then a Full Life counselor walks with you – sometimes leading, sometimes following, sometimes beside you – but confidently with you on the journey.
Complementary Services can help bolster talk therapy outcomes and improve everyday coping skills.
